John Wengraf Overview:
Character actor, John Wengraf, was born on Apr 23, 1897 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary (now Austria). Wengraf died at the age of 77 on May 4, 1974 in Santa Barbara, CA .
MINI BIO:
John Wengraf was a scraggy, bush-browed Viennese-born actor with unusual looks which he would adapt equally to the kindly or sinister. He was almost entirely a stage actor before flight from the Nazis took him first to Britain, then to Hollywood. Inevitably, first cast as Nazis himself, (1946, Tomorrow is Forever; 1946, The Razors Edge; 1961, Judgment at Nuremberg), he later played more than a fair share of professors and ambivalent advisers.
