MINI BIO:

Miriam Karlin was a thin, plain-looking British actress with dark hair, wide smile and strong personality. She started her career entertaining wartime troops in Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA) shows, then brought her talents to stage revues, films and television, where she became a nationally known figure as the militant shop steward in The Rag Trade comedy series. Films never really made the most of her, and she later toured in one-woman shows.
