She followed her character-actor husband Leonard Sharp (1890-1958) into films in the 1940s (1948, The Fallen Idol; 1955, The Glass Cage) and appeared sporadically in mother roles in British films over a 20-year period. Her daughter, Dorothy Gordon is also an actress. The spelling of her Christian name varies from film to film.
