His many roles include Kirby's Assistant in You Can't Take It with You, Hopper's Secretary in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Johnny Valdelle in Sullivanâs Travels, and the jewelry salesman in The Palm Beach Story. He also played Mr. Guerney and train conductor Wendell Gibbs on Petticoat Junction from 1965-1969.
