Vivien Leigh's Life Story Is Heading to the Big Screen

It's in the works from the writers of Feud.

Vivien Leigh's real-life drama is getting the biopic treatment. According to Variety, Michael Zam and Jaffe Cohen, the writers behind Ryan Murphy's Feudare bringing the Gone with the Windstar's story to the big screen.

The film will reportedly be based on Hugo Vickers' chronicle of the star's life, Vivien Leigh: A Biography, and will center around Leigh's relationship with Laurence Olivier.

"I couldn't help myself with Vivien. No man could," Olivier said of their relationship, which began as an extramarital affair. "I hated myself for cheating on Jill, but then I had cheated before, but this was something different. This wasn't just out of lust. This was love that I really didn't ask for but was drawn into."

While Leigh and Olivier eventually took the relationship public and were married for 20 years, their bond could not withstand cheating on both sides, and Leigh's problems with mental illness.
