Veteran actress Shirley MacLaine is set to receive a lifetime achievement honour at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards.
The "Steel Magnolias" icon, 82, will be a special guest at the organisation's annual awards dinner on January 14, when she will be presented with the Career Achievement prize, reported Variety.
LAFCA president Claudia Puig said, "We are very excited to be giving the award to someone who has had such an illustrious, versatile acting career, and who has contributed so much to our collective enjoyment of movies."
The Oscar winner added, "I'm thrilled with the honour by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association, the recognition and the encouragement."
