Another piece of the Big Apple's culinary history is biting the dust.
The last Lindy's - a deli-style restaurant that was once famous for its insulting waiters and its cheesecake - is preparing to close on Feb. 7, according to a government filing.
At Seventh Avenue at W. 53rd Street, the eatery is owned by The Riese Organization, which bought the now 96-year-old brand in 1979.
Leo "Lindy" Lindermann opened the first one in 1921 at 1626 Broadway, and it was popular haunt for aspiring Broadway stars - and made famous by the movie "Guys and Dolls."
With the closing, 27 employees will lose their jobs.
A year ago, the famed Carnegie Deli closed its doors after a 79-year run.
