getTV presents a sizzling July programming lineup featuring classic comedies, rare TV series, and beloved icons. The month includes Dolly Parton in the All American Dolly Marathon on July 4TH; an expanded 24 Hours of Westerns block; a Lucille Ball two-pack; a Carol Burnett marathon; a night of Noir starring Humphrey Bogart and Glenn Ford; and a special Christmas In July Variety Block event starring Andy Williams, Bing Crosby, and Perry Como.
24 Hours of Westerns-Saturday & Sunday From 12 p.m. ET to 12 p.m. ET
getTV expands its Saturday Westerns block, introducing a revamped lineup that extends from Saturdays at 12 p.m. ET through Sundays at 12 p.m. ET, creating an epic 24 hours of Westerns each weekend, and giving viewers even more of the cowboy classics they love. As part of this weekly event, the network is adding three more rare Western TV series to a block that already includes NICHOLS, THE TALL MAN, and WHISPERING SMITH, among others. The new additions are as follows:
Saturdays at 3:15 p.m. ET & 3:50 p.m. ET-TOMBSTONE TERRITORY (1957-1960)-Pat Conway stars as Sheriff Clay Hollister, a lawman trying to tame "the town too tough to die," with the help of newspaper editor Harris Claibourne (Richard Eastham). Notable guests include Michael Landon, James Coburn, Lon Chaney Jr., Leonard Nimoy, Dyan Cannon, Angie Dickinson, and Lee Van Cleef. TOMBSTONE TERRITORY will air as part of getTV's Get Lost In TV block on Wednesday, July 27 at 8 p.m. ET
Sundays at 9:30 a.m. ET-FATHER MURPHY (1981-1983)-Merlin Olsen poses as a priest to help a teacher (Katharine Cannon) and the young orphans in her care, in this drama created by Michael Landon. Notable guests include Corey Feldman, Christina Applegate, Shannen Doherty, & James Cromwell. FATHER MURPHY will air as part of getTV's Get Lost In TV block on Wednesday, July 13 at 8 p.m. ET.
Sundays at 10:45 a.m. ET-SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS (1982-1983)-Based on the popular musical of the same name, this series stars Richard Dean Anderson, Peter Horton, Drake Hogestyn and River Phoenix in his acting debut, as a brothers working to keep their ranch together 10 years after their parents' death. Notable guests include Joaquin Phoenix in his first role, as well as Cameron Mitchell, Eric Stoltz, Charles Napier, & Levon Helm. getTV celebrates Independence Day with Dolly Parton in six episodes from her hit 1976 series DOLLY, featuring guest appearances by chart-topping baritone Tennessee Ernie Ford at 8 p.m. ET; followed by Kenny Rogers at 8:30 p.m. ET; Linda Ronstadt & Emmylou Harris at 9 p.m. ET; Anne Murray at 9:30 p.m. ET; and Lynn Anderson at 10 p.m. ET. The night comes to a close at 10:30 p.m. ET, with Parton joining her mother, father, and seven of her siblings to perform the mountain classics they grew up with.
Lucille Ball-Tues., July 5 at 8 p.m. ET
getTV puts the spotlight on groundbreaking comedienne Lucille Ball in a pair of 1950s classics, starring as a door-to-door saleswoman accused of murder in THE FULLER BRUSH GIRL, with Eddie Albert. Then, Ball stars as a beautiful princess who falls for a daring rebel in THE MAGIC CARPET RIDE, with John Agar, at 10 p.m. ET.
ENSIGN O'TOOLE (1962-1963)-Joining the Daytime Block on Mon., July 11 at 7:35 a.m. ET
Dean Jones stars in the titular role, as a fun-loving officer whose shenanigans bring levity to the battleship Appleby, while drawing the ire of Lt. St. John (Jack Mullaney). The series also stars Jack Albertson, Harvey Lembeck, and Beau Bridges in his first major TV role. Notable guests include Dub Taylor, John McGiver, and Soupy Sales. Comedy icon Carol Burnett steals the show in a night of laughs, teaming up with funnymen Dick Van Dyke and Andy Kaufman in an unforgettable episode of the 1976 series DICK VAN DYKE AND COMPANY; followed by THE JIM NABORS HOUR at 9 p.m. ET, as Burnett and Jim Nabors spoof THE LONE RANGER and the World Series, and sing a medley of love songs. Then, Burnett sits down with Merv Griffin to discuss her move to California, and her past life as the president of the Merv Griffin Fan Club, on THE MERV GRIFFIN SHOW at 10 p.m. ET.
FROM HERE TO ETERNITY (1953)-Sun., July 24 at 8 p.m. ET
Soldiers deal with the trials of life on an army base in the days before the bombing of Pearl Harbor, in this drama starring Montgomery Clift, Burt Lancaster, Deborah Kerr, Frank Sinatra and Ernest Borgnine. The film earned eight Oscars®, and is one of only four Best Picture winners to take home Oscars® in all four acting categories.
Christmas In July-Mon., July 25 at 8 p.m. ET
Christmas comes early on getTV in this trio of Yuletide specials, kicking off with Bing Crosby in BING CROSBY AND THE SOUNDS OF A CHRISTMAS, featuring original SLEEPING BEAUTY star Mary Costa; the Mitchell Boys Choir; and vocalist Robert Goulet, and headlined by Crosby's timeless rendition of "White Christmas." At 9 p.m. ET, Andy Williams highlights his favorite moments from eight seasons of Christmas specials in THE BEST OF THE ANDY WILLIAMS CHRISTMAS SHOWS, a spirited compilation packed with holiday standards such as "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" and "Ave Maria." And Perry Como shines in THE PERRY COMO CHRISTMAS SHOW at 10 p.m. ET, featuring a duet with Karen Carpenter, and special guests Jack Benny, Rich Little, and Peggy Fleming.
