Bright Lights: Starring Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds
The Film Society of Lincoln Center has announced the full lineup for the New York Film Festival's Spotlight on Documentary program.
Joining the previously announced festival opener The 13th, the latest film from Selma director Ava DuVernay, are other nonfiction titles from Alexis Bloom & Fisher Stevens, Lee Morgan, Steve James, and Errol Morris.
Three of the titles announced Wednesday revolve around notable performing arts figures. Bloom & Stevens' Bright Lights follows the relationship between Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher, crafting an "affectionate, often hilarious, and unexpectedly moving valentine" to the pair as it delves into their ups and downs endured as one of Hollywood's most famous mother-daughter duos.
