Who did Abbott and Costello Meet?
No, it’s not a trick question. And believe it or not it has nothing to do with baseball. Starting in 1948, the comedy team of Abbott and Costello began to take their proven comedic formula in an interesting direction when the pair decided to ‘meet’ horror legend, Frankenstein. So, who else did they meet along the way? Well, all-in, there was…

Actually, the “meet” films were some of A&C’s best (well, except for CAPTAIN KIDD). Although A&C MEET FRANKENSTEIN get all the love (and deservedly so), I’m rather fond of the clever, funny A&C MEET THE INVISIBLE MAN.
Abbott and Costello just bring back such fond memories for me… I loved watching those films growing up, and as an adult I still have to laugh when I see them!!!

The still you’ve used for A&C Meet the Killer isn’t from that film at all. Boris K is clean shaven and sporting a turban throughout. I’ve always had a soft spot for ‘Meet Captain Kidd’, which features some cracking lines e.g. “How did you get so wet in a dry room?”
