I really enjoy Cosby’s live performances. When I saw him in concert he had a wealth of material, each story funnier than the last. Thanks for the chance to win this book.
What I love about Bill Cosby is his stories are universal; everyone can relate to them, and the often absurdity of life and relationships, which basically leads to laughing at oneself. Its amazing that he has maintained that connection with the public for almost 50 years.
Hi Shawn, Well, I am happy to say that, because our other Facebook winner did not get back to me with their shipping info, I was compelled to pick an ‘alternate’ winner — and your name was picked! That said, I will email you now for shipping info. If you do not receive the email, please contact me here via this blog. Thanks and Congratulations!
Someone once wrote that a good comedian says funny things and a great comedian says things funny. I first encountered Bill Cosby when I was seven years old and my father shared (on a reel-to-reel tape) a recording of Cosby’s stand-up routine about the “Chicken Heart.” Even though I didn’t understand all of the content in the piece, I became enthralled by his delivery. To me, that was the funny part. So many of today’s comedians rely entirely too much on WHAT they’re saying and now HOW they’re saying it. Cosby is as much an actor, teacher, and storyteller as he is a comedian. Bill Cosby is also the one and only stand-up comedian who had earned the right to perform, as he often does, sitting down. Even while seated, he still holds an audience enraptured. Through his material and TV work, Cosby has always put a huge emphasis on the importance of education. For decades, he has taught all of us, and we have all benefited enormously from the lessons.
Well said!!!

I watched the Cosby Show when we just came to the US. I was watching it with my daughters and it was a really good experience – we enjoyed the show and learned a lot. Thank you, Bill Cosby!
