MINI BIO:
Estelle Winwood was a twitting, bird-like and long-lived British-born actress, who completed a remarkable 80 years on stage (she made her theatrical debut at 16) and played a leading role in a film at the age of 94. She worked largely in America from 1916 with occasional returns to the London stage. Her film appearances were far too few, but almost all were memorable as she click-clacked, like knitting needles on legs, through one eccentric characterization after another.
