Dillon directed about 130 films and shorts from 1914 through 1934, most notably Clara Bow's talkie "Call Her Savage" (1932) and the silent film "The Noose" (1928) for which Richard Barthelmess was nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award in 1927/28. Dillon began his film career as an actor in 1914, and continued appearing in films until 1931.
