Walter Baldwin Overview:
Character actor, Walter Baldwin, was born Walter S. Baldwin Jr. on Jan 2, 1889 in Lima, OH. Baldwin died at the age of 88 on Jan 27, 1977 in Santa Monica, CA .
MINI BIO:
Light-haired, eager-looking American actor, often seen with rimless spectacles. Usually unexcitingly dressed in well-worn clothes, Baldwin played friendly, small-town men - storekeepers, farmers and the like, sometimes oppressed by the bad guys, but more often just a part of a realistic rural background. His characters were sympathetic but had few teeth. Came to Hollywood in early middle age after extensive Broadway experience and stayed for 18 years before becoming busier on TV.
