Roddy Hughes Overview:
Actor, Roddy Hughes, was born Rhodri Henry Hughes on Jun 19, 1891 in Portmadoc, North Wales. Hughes died at the age of 78 on Feb 22, 1970 in Sussex, England .
Hughes was stout, balding Welsh actor with a fine talent for singing. He began his career on the London stage in a variety of musical comedy roles, but soon came into demand for straight character roles. Thanks to his elastic face and mobile features, few players could better express extremes of joy and sorrow without resource to words. Although theatrical commitments limited his film appearances, but he was never better cast than as Mr. Fezziwig in the 1951's Scrooge.
