MINI BIO:
Gladys Henson was an Ireland-born supporting actress in British films. On stage at age 13, she was a Hippodrome chorus girl who grew up to look plump and motherly which seemed to suit a lifetime of working-class motherhood roles. Thus without previous film experience, she came quickly into demand in post-war years, appearing more than once as the wife of Jack Warner, forever doing the washing and cooking. She was married to actor-comedian Leslie Henson from 1926-1943 (divorced), and never remarried.
