Dark-haired, bespectacled, serious-looking American comedian, the "boy next door" who lurched anxiously from disaster to disaster in quest of the girl and usually ended up in some hair-raising situation like clinging from the hands of a clock. He was honored with one star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category of Motion Pictures. Harold Lloyd's handprints and footprints were 'set in stone' at Grauman's Chinese Theater during imprint ceremony #4 on Nov 21, 1927. In addition, Lloyd was immortalized on a US postal stamp in 1994. Lloyd was never nominated for an Academy Award. However he won one Honorary Award in 1952 , master comedian and good citizen.
