MINI BIO:
Hans Conried studied acting at Columbia University, and was already working on radio professionally at age 18. Conried made his screen debut a few years later, at age 21, in the 1938 film "Dramatic School". His distinctive voice and impeccable diction made him a popular radio performer, one of his most memorable radio roles being Professor Kropotkin on "My Friend Irma" (he also played Kropotkin in the film version).
Over the course of his almost-50-year screen career, Conried appeared in over 205 films, television shows and shorts -- including some marvelous voice-acting roles as 'Captain Hook' (Disney's "Peter Pan"), 'Snidely Whiplash' ("The Bullwinkle Show"), 'Wally Walrus' ("The Woody Woodpecker Show") and 'Professor Waldo Wiggleswort' ("Hoppity Hooper"). His TV guest appearances were many (from "I Love Lucy" to "Mister Ed" to "Maverick"), but perhaps his most famous guest appearances were as Danny Thomas' 'Uncle Tonoose' on TV's "Make Room For Daddy"!
